Artist Info:

Painting is both a joy and a challenge. I love to paint from things I see in nature, patterns in the rocks, or seaweed or whatever. These things are often just a trigger and the paint and brush take their own journey. Other times I am quite realistic and I just have a need to paint something I want to express and share.

I tutor in community houses and also give private tuition, from my home. I get enormous pleasure from encouraging and inspiring my students to find their own creativity. I like painting in watercolours best, but am quite happy using oils when the subject or mood takes me. I have some students working in acrylics, but I have competed very few paintings in that medium.

I grew up in Italy and London and of course that's all part of the influences that have shaped my love of painting. I have been part of McClelland Guild of Artists, Peninsula Art Society, Mentone Art Group, Oakhill Community Gallery and now the KAN group.
